Christmas-time is here! In true Zuspan fashion -- we had to uphold the tradition of cutting down our tree. We visited the same tree farm in Arlington, and we missed having the fam with us! Although, I will say that the decision-making process went much faster with only 2 of us, instead of 7....
Of the Zuspan family Christmas tree farm traditions, we DID uphold a few: counted cars with Christmas trees (58), brought our own knee pads (his and hers!), debated over the VERY best tree, and then ended up picking the very first one we saw. We cut down our own tree and enjoyed tasty candy canes on the way home :)
We did NOT, however, listen to the Chipmunk Christmas album on cassette tape. It just wouldn't have been the same without all three parts -- Alvin, Simon and Theodore. Maybe next year....
We did start a few of our own tree-cutting traditions...like power tools
And one pad for each knee

And as always, I was SUPER-helpful.

Minus the power lines, it was a great sunset!

The finished product.....

Yay! Nothing like a Christmas tree to get you in the Holiday spirit.

I can't believe we had a near miss in Arlington. I can't believe we were at the same place at different times. See, this is why we must keep in constant contact - to avoid situations like this!
Oh Lalu - how we miss being there to carry on traditions. But now it is time for you and Matt to start growing your own. How fun to see that you are doing just that ... even if some of them start with those rooted in your childhood. Love you, Dad
Bittersweet! So glad you both are starting your own traditions but sad that we weren't there to continue in ours WITH you! It is indeed a strange place to be!! Loved the new additions! Very creative!Love you both!
Love, Mom
Finally a new post. I've been waiting through November for a Peterson update. Is that one of my cousins "Outback" Christmas trees? So beautiful. Next time, no making me wait a whole month for a blog post... that was hard!
Fun to see you at the shower today. You know I think the world of you! And you know I hope to see more blogy-stuff about you and Matt when you find the time. Guess I'll just have to pop over to your Mom & Dad's blog to get my little 'blog fix' since they're living such exciting lives lately! Love, Robin
Hey - it is March...how about an update to your blog??? Like some Hawaii pics and stories? Or have you abandoned us bloggers for the glitz and glamour of Facebook?!?!? Dad
Yeah! Like your Dad said (above) have you abandon us bloggers? More Peterson bloggy-newsy-stuff-n-pictures please. We old people need to be entertained!
I'm another month older and grayer and still no Mr. & Mrs. Peterson blog-entertainment. Elderly life is boring without you beautiful youth to entertain us. Guess I'll have to give up and join the Facebookers in order to get my Peterson fix. Sigh.
I've decided just to visit once a month so that someday when you look here you will crack up. OK, here's your June 2009 visit! If this keeps up that picture of Matt chopping down the Christmas tree will work perfect Dec 09!
Here's my July visit!
It is August! This is fun!
Hello September 2009
Yikes! I got busy and almost missed my October visit!
Ok Mr. & Mrs. Peterson - I don't want to disappoint you by not showing up for a November visit! From your favorite little "Blog Stalker" Robin :)

Hey! That's funny. Your Christmas Tree looks just like the one Matt chopped down last year. Huh...weird.
Well I debated... as we entered 2010... but alas, I am compelled. We shall see where this farcical besetting leads. :) (hmmmmmm, maybe vocab lessons, just for fun)?
My aim is to pique and beguile so as to incite the recommencement of your blogging iteration; even if the loquacity of this magniloquent comment is excessive in its grandiloquence.
February's comment still has me confused ;)
Yesterday Olivia said, "Callie came to visit me, but Matt didn't." I laughed and thought of you guys. Matt must have been on-shift, I guessed to myself. Livi sure loves her "Uncle" Matt and "Auntie" Callie!
A couple days ago I saw a TV show or commercial or something and the baby's name was Quinlen and they called her Quinley. I texted Sarah and begged her to name their next child Quinley. True friend, Sarah, said it was already claimed by Callie. Glad to know there will be a Quinley someday... that is the cutest name ever!
Yeahhhhhhhhh! It's my first day of summer vacation! I LOVE JUNE!
Whew! I almost missed July! Well that's how fast summer flies by for us teachers. Abba Father, please slow down time in the summer. (But You can make it goes as fast as You want between Sept-June). ;)
And here's August 2010. Hmmmmm, I wonder how long I'll be able to keep up this track record?
I wonder if Callie will ever notice her little blog stalker, Robin, waiting patiently for her to start blogging again?
Whew! I almost broke the "I-haven't-missed-a-month-of-blog-stalking-yet!" streak.
Seriously: What a comfort you were to me this past month, as you held me up by texting verses that helped me stay strong in my faith and focused on Jesus. And so sweet to me at my Mom's memorial - such a wonderful young woman you've grown up to be. Dan & Barb, you can be so proud!
Oh my goodness! This is the closest I've ever come to breaking my Montly-Peterson-Blog-Comment streak. I noticed the date while reading one of my favorite devotional websites. So I'll leave you with...

It's a great place to spend your morning coffee time!
Love, Robin
Well that's it for 2010. Now on to 2011 and whatever it brings. I hope it brings Matt and Callie all sorts of wonderful blessings! Happy New Year!
Ohhhhhhhh
Nooooooooooooo!
I missed my monthly streak!
